Frothy, sweet and thick. A chewy beverage. This Pony Malta is pretty tasty. Its fortifying in an old-fashioned Ovaltine kind of way. I like that it has some real carbonation, a tingly sour sizzle, kind of cola-like. I didn't expect that.

The smell of the drink is like toasted bread, but it doesn't have such a strong flavor as that. Mostly its just sweet. No, actually its not like toasted bread, its more like putting your nose into a box of raisin bran.
