Wow, now this is a malt beverage! Its very rich, almost chocolatey, with a luxurious foamy head if you pour it too fast.
It doesn't seem quite as sweetened as the Latin American maltas, though it is still sugary.
This tastes as much like rye as it does toasted barley, like a slice of pumpernickel in a glass.
My only complaint is an off-putting vegetabley smell (like celery?) as I bring the glass up to drink. That is unexpected and sort of distracting.
Water, malt, sugar, colour (E150c), hops.
